stickin to what you believe in is not being stubborn.. if you are in a quagmire you do not pack your bag and leave.. being powerful and influential isolation should never come to your mind..

kmt ma won dpp frank hsieh by 2.2million votes.. many years back i judged a book by its cover.. the first time i made superficial contact with ma on tv.. i thought he was the president simply because he looks like one.. yes compared to frank.. he truly looks more like one..

i spent this weekend gettin to know this country better by watchin the two of them debate and payin attention to two different taiwanese news channel.. on various issues i felt that frank had more plausible policies.. he has a better record on environment taxes education.. he has concrete plans for the future and ma sounded like obama on many occasions..

i am not tryin to say that ma is a bad choice for taiwan.. the public has been disillusioned by eight years of dpp.. the top issue in their minds was the economy.. the risin commodity prices and taiwan is becomin less and less competiive.. ma offered very simple solutions.. open up taiwan.. build better ties with china.. which was what taiwan lacks.. he proposed copyin other countries like singapore which i thought way too effortless..

ma still won my vote on two points.. he advocates human rights.. recognisin the rights of 2million gays.. his cahracter should have won him the most votes.. he is very polite and appears to sympathise with the rest of the population.. even his family members kept a low proifle durin the campaign unlike the spouses of previous candidates.. on another note.. kmt did not win because they did anything wonderful.. its because dpp lost it.. wastin 8 precious years..

i pay 36 dollars to torture myself for each session.. i have to wake up at seven on a good friday for this torment.. i have to pay another 22.5 dollars for the circuit.. i do not picture myself drivin on my own in the next few years.. but i still go there to slowly accept what a slow learner and stupid student i am..

olive fried rice



please note that its not the usual steam rice with the minced pork as toppin... on another note the photo is taken pretty badly.. the recipe is for single servin and not very original..

[1] magrinate minced pork.. chopped garlic.. pepper.. coriander powder.. 2 chopped olive.. flour.. minced pork..

make the magrinated pork into the shape of a pancake..

[2] fry it.. wok with oil and medium heat.. throw in flatten pork and use a fork to break the meat into pieces..

[3] soon add in oyster sauce and stir fry for 3 minute..

[4] finallly cooked rice.. fish sauce.. sugar.. u decide the garnish but dont leave out the thai chilli powder..

detailed ingredients..

pinch of pepper coriander powder.. 1 chopped garlic.. 1/2 tbsp flour or potato starch..

with experience u should know how much oyster sauce and fish sauce to add.. if the meat is too salty balance the taste with sugar..

black olive.. i saw them sold in a bottle not the preserved kind.. you should get it in wet market.. you must first gently slit the olive and remove the seed.. i recommend 2 olives per serving..

i was afraid this might be an eye sore.. but i believe it is an eye opener for many.. the two discs on the sole of my right foot are called corn.. a little information on it..

..a hardened and raised bump on any part of the foot
..caused by workin day in day out with your feet and hands in mud
..women have corns more often than men because of wearin high heels

corn is my excuse for not joggin for nearly two months.. corn is my excuse for my weak defence.. corn is my excuse for walkin a little slower than the rest.. corn is almost everything..

ever fustrated your upload speed that is always slower than your download speed.. the internet should be a two way traffic.. we need equally fast upload speed for progress.. such slow speed has daunted many of us.. causin NPT(not about nuclear).. non proliferation of technology knowledge.. luckily some overcame the odds and changed the world.. this allowed me to jailbreak my ipod.. below is a screenshot taken by the ipod itself..



jailbreakin the ipod means installin iphone applications for free.. the de jure method is to pay 19.99 american dollars on itunes.. this is impossible as singapore hae no itunes store yet and singaporeans cannot afford 19.99 us dollar.. so i have to hack it.. now i have familiar programs like googlemap msn weather games..a longman dictionary pdf viewer and bible in it.. i can even check sbs bus routes and take down notes..everyday there are new applications to install.. its really the coolest gadget on earth..

i have to thanks hardwarezone forums and many youtube guides.. max and chong who allowed me to tap into nus wifi to hack the ipod because singtel wifi at home blocks the download of the installer program on the ipod.. its a season of sharin..
